Paul Andrews AKA DJ Macleod.
dj macleod (aka Paul Andrews)
started out in the music business as road crew for Pink Floyd on their Dark side
of the Moon tour.
In the mid-eighties, a revolution began the old guard was swept away, as
first the hip-hop and electro sounds from New York, and then house
music from Chicago, techno from Detroit and the 'Balearic Beat' in
Ibiza, were embraced by a new set of young UK promoters and DJs.
After being heavily influenced by the Manchester/London sound he began to
play small underground parties. His roots were firmly placed in old
skool and acid house which became elements of techno fused with funky
filtered house which is the fundamental basis for everything he's done
since.
His mixing style and approach to elements of deep house, are woven together in a
distinct percussive and funky feel.
dj macleod is now resident in Heidelberg and plays in clubs and bars Billy
Blues, The Museum, Annual DJ Conference, Germany , SOHO Club (Germany),
Sky Lounge (Germany), Print Media Lounge (Germany), Scala (London),
belowzero (London) and The Gallery (Turnmills, London).
